Psychotherapist
Psychoanalyst Donald Winnicott said “When I look, I am seen, so I exist. I can now afford to look and see.”Each of us deserve to be seen for who we are at our core. I believe through self-exploration in therapy, we are enabled to show up authentically in relationships, career, and other areas of life. In therapy, I aim to help you cultivate flexibility. I prioritize creating a therapeutic space where your curiosity to understand yourself, others, and the world in which we inhabit can be explored safely and without judgement.
In our work together, we’ll tune into your thoughts, emotions, and the wisdom of your body. We will engage mindfully with your thoughts and emotions using a blend of verbal psychotherapy techniques, such as CBT, DBT, and ACT, and creative arts therapy techniques.
These approaches allow for emotional processing, increased self-awareness, and meaningful release of what no longer serves you. Grounded in trauma-informed care, I bring empathy, flexibility, and attunement to every session, supporting you in feeling empowered and capable as you move through life’s challenges. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College, continuing my education at Pratt Institute where I acquired my Master of Science in Dance/Movement Psychotherapy.
Throughout my education and clinical experience, I have had the privilege of supporting both adolescents and adults navigating grief, anxiety, depression, mood challenges, serious mental illness, long-term medical illness, and childhood trauma. I don’t believe healing means erasing pain entirely, but I do believe it’s possible to navigate pain while feeling more resourced, seen, and less alone. Whether you’re making sense of the past or trying to stay afloat in the present, I’ll be here with you.
