Greenpoint Psychotherapy is a remote private practice that provides psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups based in New York. Our compassionate and encouraging therapists are able to provide stable support, help you through crises, and continue to meet with you weekly to work on longer term goals.
We strive to build a trusting relationship with our clients, so that you may feel confident in gaining more insight about your feelings and needs, to be able to increase assertiveness and autonomy. During your sessions we engage in a multitude of interventions tailored to the parameters of our work together. In general, we do our best to create a safe space for you through active listening, asking open ended questions, exploring solutions, and psychoeducation as well as mindfulness, somatic, and art therapy activities. Ultimately we believe that by engaging in psychotherapy you will gain the insight needed to be able to move through the world with kindness and compassion rather than fear. That by taking care of yourself you are also taking care of the people around you.

We use an anti oppressive framework and seek to encourage critical thinking that is supported by empathy and compassion.
