Nazalene (they/them/theirs), or Naz, is a queer and non-binary psychotherapist who practices from a place of empathy and intersectionality. Naz is compassionate, intuitive, and holistic in their work with clients to improve confidence and create safety. Nazalene received their Master of Social Work degree with a clinical concentration from CUNY York College. With years of experience, Nazalene has served people with disabilities, LGBTQIA+ folx, and elder immigrant community members. Naz’s professional mission is to provide mental health resources to folx like themselves, who are survivors of systemic oppression. Naz will honor your self-determination, integrating therapeutic frameworks that resonate with you. This can include approaches like mindfulness practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and meditative interventions. Naz specializes in providing gender- and sexuality-affirming therapy to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC). Nazalene continues to work with individuals, couples, poly systems, chosen and bio families, and children. Naz believes each person is the expert in their own life. Nazalene uses relationship-centered therapy to work with you to create growth and connection that is accessible and sustainable.
