Sarah Ahmed She/Her, CAT-LP

Psychotherapist

Sarah is a patient and empathetic art therapist who strives to create a safe, non-judgmental, and empowering therapeutic environment, meeting you exactly where you are. Her work is rooted in the belief that inner clarity already exists deep within each of us and through gentle awareness and consistent practices that support individual goals, we can discover a meaningful reconnection with our inherent strengths and capacity for wholeness. Sometimes conversation can lead this journey, or perhaps art making in its many forms- either way the route will be one of self-expression. You do not need to be an artist to participate, only willing to creatively surrender into the flow of what you want to bring to each session.

Sarah has a Master’s degree in Art Therapy and Counseling from Southwestern College and New Earth Institute. Her work integrates traditional therapeutic approaches with holistic techniques that honor the mind, body, and spirit. She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, anger, depression, low self-esteem, grief and loss, PTSD, and identity fragmentation. She most often draws from art therapy, mindfulness practices, psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems or parts work, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and ecotherapy, thoughtfully weaving these modalities to meet each client’s specific needs.

Sarah also has extensive experience working with marginalized communities, including individuals navigating the impacts of systemic oppression, identity-based stress, displacement, and discrimination. As a first-generation immigrant, she is passionate about providing affirming and culturally responsive care that honors each client’s unique identity and reinforces the understanding that belonging is a birthright.

Wherever you are on your path, Sarah’s intention is to walk alongside you as you nurture a deeper connection to yourself through compassion, curiosity, and creative reflection.
