Maxine earned her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from The Warner School of Education at University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. Maxine has experience working with adults treating a variety of presenting challenges including anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflicts, and general life stressors. She also has experience in crisis intervention as well as co-existing mental health and substance use challenges.

Maxine’s clinical approach to therapy involves a variety of techniques and modalities including, psychodynamic approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness practice. Maxine facilitates a comfortable, safe space for her clients by facilitating a trusting and mutually respectful environment. She knows that creating a safe space for her clients as they embark on a journey towards change and healing is imperative.
