Anna Simonyan

Anna is a trauma-informed practitioner with a range of experience supporting adults struggling with anxiety, attachment, depression, trauma, work stress, family distress, and relationship issues. She also has experience working with individuals from immigrant backgrounds or who are first-generation immigrants navigating acculturation stress and looking to find the balance between cultural and societal expectations. She is kind, empathetic, and strives to help individuals be aligned with who they want to be by guiding them through their therapeutic journey. Anna likes to work collaboratively with clients to identify their therapeutic goals, help them recognize their strengths and potential, and guide them toward social and emotional well-being. She aims to encourage individuals to find compassion in themselves and provide them with the tools that are necessary to achieve their therapeutic goals. Anna utilizes a person-centered approach, mindfulness-based practices, cognitive behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic therapy.

 
Anna completed her Master of Arts in Forensic Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Victim Counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She is currently available to offer both individual and couples therapy.
