Michelle Novitsky

MHC-LP · she/they

Welcome to your therapy journey, or welcome back! Ever wonder "why is this happening now?", or "how does my past connect to today?" Michelle uses psychodynamic therapy to help you look back and understand your present, revealing how past and unconscious experiences shape current patterns.

Michelle also incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Instead of fighting your mental health by constantly thinking "how do I stop this?", ACT teaches you to work with what you're experiencing through acceptance, self-compassion, and patience.

As a queer therapist with her Master's from Brooklyn College, Michelle treats anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, trauma, and low self-esteem. She works with diverse adults including college students, neurodiverse individuals, and BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ communities.
