Kate Laux is a trauma-informed holistic Creative Arts Therapist who uses humanistic and psychodynamic approaches as well as CBT, DBT, and the creative arts to meet individual, couple, and family needs.
Kate has a background providing meaning-centered psychotherapy involving life transitions, trauma, grief, and a changing body. She has worked in hospital settings (oncology, eating disorders and palliative care) as well as worked with marginalized unhoused and housing-insecure communities, which includes survivors of domestic violence and intimate partner violence and formerly incarcerated people.
Kate has participated in Art Hives, free community art studios in the US and Canada, which brings inclusive and accessible art-making outlets open to all. Her goal is to connect, collaborate, and empower together.
