Anna is a compassionate and client-centered therapist fluent in both English and Spanish, specializing in LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy. With a warm and empathetic approach, she helps clients cultivate self-acceptance and self-compassion. Anna values building relationships based on trust and mutual respect, where you are recognized as the expert in your unique life experiences, preferences, and needs.
She incorporates a variety of therapeutic techniques including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), the Interpersonal Process Approach, Motivational Interviewing, and Somatic Experiencing Therapy. Anna has significant experience delivering Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to trauma survivors, including those affected by intimate partner violence and domestic violence of all genders and sexualities.
Anna’s practice focuses on supporting adults dealing with anxiety, self-esteem, identity issues, grief, and trauma, especially emotional and psychological abuse survivors. Raised by out LGBTQ+ parents, Anna’s upbringing inspires her anti-oppressive approach, which honors the diverse intersectional identities of her clients.
Anna holds an MSW with a concentration in Clinical Social Work from Rutgers University and a BA in Spanish and Literature from Bennington College.
